U.S President Donald Trump Imposes New Travel Ban On Nigeria, Five Other Countries

The U.S. President Donald Trump has imposed a new travel ban on travellers, restricting African Giant Nigeria, and five other countries in an expansion of his administration’s policy blocking travel from certain countries. In accordance with the new policy m, citizens from Nigeria, Eritrea, Myanmar,and Kyrgyzstan will be restricted from applying for visas to immigrate to the U.S


According to Trump, the U.S. government policy was designed to tighten security for countries that are not complying with the U.S. minimum security standards to prevent illegal immigration.

According to the wall Street Journal reports , two other countries , Sudan and Tanzania, will be restricted from the U.S visa lottery which Which randomly awards green cards to 50,000 immigrants from underrepresented countries annually
Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have demanded the intervention of the US , UK , and the European Union in the judgement of the Supreme Court.
According to Officials from the U.S. the new restrictions are set to effects on Feb 21 and will be applied only to new visa applications. All Immigrants who were issued valid visas before that date can still be able to use it to move to the U.S

African Giant Nigeria and the other five countries listed will join a list of seven nations that will face the new visa ban restrictions under the Donald Trump’s Original travel ban which is issued earlier in 2017.
